Patty Stroupe Scholarship — $500.00

Patty, who left us too soon, is the mother of our site manager in Waynesville, Morgan, and the mother-in-law of our hygienist, Crystal, who works at Arden Premiere. This scholarship is based on words that Patty lived by and raised her children on “You can make today a good day or a bad day, the choice is yours.” This recipient is someone who lives their life with a positive mindset and shines their bright light in school, work, and community.

Dr. Bill Chambers Scholarship — $2,000.00

In 1980, Dr. Bill Chambers founded Great Smiles. Since then he has been a leader in the field of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics for decades including his passion to help infants with a failure to thrive. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Bill has always been an active member of our WNC community – serving as a sports coach, mentor, volunteer, activity sponsor, and more. Dr. Bill’s unwavering work ethic and passion for life, fun, and fellowship has translated into the legacy of Great Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Patients, team members, and all those that have been positively impacted by Dr. Bill’s efforts have an unquestionable appreciation and value for his lifelong service to our community.

This scholarship is given in honor of Dr. Bill Chambers to a recipient whom embodies the characteristic traits of a true leader: well-rounded, unwavering work ethic, generosity, kindness, initiative, is involved in community volunteer activities and inspires greatness in others.
