What Makes My Job Special?

The best part of my day is spending time with my amazing team and seeing my patients who become like family. As a dual specialist in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics I have the privilege of seeing my patients from the time they are born into their 20’s and 30’s while often also treating their parents with braces or Invisalign. Makes for a very fun day getting to catch up and watch our patient families grow!

About Me

I grew up in Asheville, NC and my father started the practice many years ago. I worked at Great Smiles any free opportunity I had. I went to Estes elementary, Valley Springs Middle School, and then TC Roberson High school. I played basketball throughout my middle school and high school. My junior year, our TC Roberson basketball team played for the State Championship. I attended then UNC at Chapel Hill for college and dental school. Followed by the Ohio State University for my pediatric dentistry residency and the Medical University of South Carolina for my orthodontic residency. Although I worked at Great Smiles part time throughout my education, I moved back to Asheville, NC and started my full time position as a pediatric dentist and orthodontist in 2016.

Why did you decide to become a dentist / orthodontist?

Growing up I watched my Dad, Dr. Bill Chambers, go to work many days dressed as awesome superheroes or funny mascots – I thought Pediatric Dentistry was the coolest job in the world! I love making things with my hands and the beauty and art of dentistry allows me to do so every day. What better way than to spend your life making people smile (while dressed as a superhero!)

What do you like to do when not at Great Smiles?

My passions are spending time with my husband and 3 amazing kiddos, Brooks, Koko and Bodie. We love playing sports together and cheering on the Tarheels! My hobbies are wakeboarding, surfing, skiing and beating my husband in games of horse on the basketball court! Now that I am a busy mom of 3, my favorite thing is to be involved in my children’s activities and watch them enjoy the beauty of childhood with all the fun, sports, and travel they can be a part of!
